How do you spend a month in Florida?  I don't know about you folks, but if you're down here during the winter you have to spend time outdoors, because it's fabulous!  Great weather, lots of plants, lots of birds, and then us, the "snowbirds".  For now I have to rely on the grownups to remember to take me outside, but when they don't I can still sneak a peek through the window (this is about all I can see).

Being inside the house is not that bad, either.  I'll let you in on a secret.  The greatest thing ever invented are toys!  I love toys!  When I wake up, if I don't cry because I'm hungry I cry because I want my toys (I love horsing around with the bear, Pooh).  When mommy changes me I somtimes cry and then sometimes I just cry.  Many more times though I smile and mommy loves taking pictures of me and my dad when I smile.

I also started making my own friends.  My newest friends is cute and less than three weeks old, she talks like me, and she listens to me.  We had a great conversation the other day, on the sofa.  Too bad she visited only for two days...

My folks took me to New York!
On October 17 we were still taking pictures of David in Fort Lauderdale; we were very happy with how we settled in and were developing our own routine.  Come October 18, we realized there was a good chance Wilma was going to hit Fort Lauderdale.  There was also some talk that it could be a very powerful storm.  We decided to take no chances and left for New York.  That proved to be the right choice, as Wilma hit Fort Lauderdale with fury (on October 24), affecting many homes and businesses and leaving 3.2 million structures without electricity for the next two weeks.  We spent three weeks in New York and returned to Fort Lauderdale one day after our house had regained electricity, on November 8.

Meanwhile, in New York, we had a great time.  Family and friends visited with us, we went out to see a Broadway show, and we spent a lot of time in Central Park with friends.  We also had the Pidyon HaBen ceremony, where I was ransomed from the priesthood (the first born son is destined to be a priest in Judaism, unless ransomed).

I got a taste of Central Park and met many of my parent's New York friends.

I've been on the bottle for three weeks now (group meetings say that's just fine), but once in a while I give a try for the real deal (I even tried daddy once).  I'm not a fussy man though, so wherever it's coming from, just keep it coming!  I know that wherever I'll be my mouth will be searching for it.  Open the faucet all the way, dude!

I'm "Zen" days old and my repertoire of tricks has expanded.  While laying on my back, I can turn my head from one side to another if I want to.  I'm a really strong boy and I'm growing taller and taller (I'm trying to help it out by stretching my legs and arms out and by curling my head back as often as possible).  Without a doubt, my favorite activity is eating.  When I'm at it, don't bother me with anything else, 'cause I will only stop for breathing (every two minutes or so).

Welcome to my world!  I'm kind of new here myself, so I can't tell you much about it.  What I do know is that there are all these giants around me, pulling on my arms or legs, wrapping me up (I like it when I'm warm and the 'blankie' is tight around me), only to unwrap me again shortly thereafter (I don't like to feel the chill), sticking sharp things into me, and covering me with gooey paste or giving me a bath (I really don't like that!).  And when these displeasures occur, I cry my heart out - my whole body is shaking and occasionally I give a deep sigh.

Enough talk about me.  Let's talk about you.  Let me know what you think about my personal stats:
Weight:     8lbs 10ounces (3,88kg)
Height:    21in (53.34cm)
Arrival:    16:18pm Fort Worth time (22:18 GMT) on Thursday, September 22, 2005

I'll keep you posted with my discoveries, but now I want to get back to my new hobby - I like to stick my fingers and even half of my hand in my mouth and nibble on it...
